Rumour #1
Rumour is a temporary installation that has the ability to manifest itself in a number of ways, including pop-up bars, electronic or live-based clubnights and/or art expositions.
Rumour #1 was created as a pop-up bar in the lobby of a boutique hotel (The Carmelite) and replicated a typical North American hotel party vibe. A virtual bar was imported, employing unique drinks lists managed by a Rumour-based team employing Rumour-only bartenders and DJ's. The hotel literally relinquished creative and practical control of their bar and lobby every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm until 1am. Sunday to Thursday, the bar operated as The Carmelite Bar & Grill.
Each week for 8 weekends, a new cocktail list was created, with themes ranging from Soda Pop Shoppe to Favela Carioca. Table art was created in the form of cocktail menu's and origami.
